Girls Get Away to Colorado!

Thursday, July 25th:

After a lot of planning and schedule coordinating...travelling from California, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, and Germany...Stella got to join me for a reunion with my college roommates!  The last time the five of us were all together was in 2008!

Stella was a champion traveler...here she is waiting in line at the airport in Raleigh.

Excited to go through security!

Passed out just after take off...thankfully there was ONE extra seat, so I was able to buckle Stella's car seat into the free seat by the window.

Napping on the plane.  She did great!

Jocelyn met us right at our gate and we headed over to Hertz to pick up our rental car...here's the line we stood in.  Our plan was to go pick Lesley up, who was due to arrive an hour after me, but she ended up meeting us at the rental car place because the computers were down and it took FOREVER!

We finally got our car and drove to our hotel in Boulder, ate some lunch, and then headed to Pearl Street to check it out.  Stella was impressed...there were a lot of neat shops, street performers, and restaurants.

We had dinner at this pub/brewery.

She was checking out the trees.

We headed back to the hotel to wait for Erin to arrive from Germany!

Friday, July 26th:

Hiking in Boulder...very pretty, but all uphill...we were staying at the foothills of the mountain.

Erin and her versatile pants!

Another baby hiker we found along the way...he was on his first hike, and was on oxygen.  He had been born at 24 weeks!  He was 6 months old, but a little smaller than Stella.

Taking a little break...Stella LOVED when Lesley would sing to her.

Headed back down.

Ready for a night out in Denver!

We picked up Jen, got stuck in traffic, but made it in time for happy hour at a restaurant in downtown Denver.

Everyone together again...crazy that we've known each other for 17 years!  Love this picture.  We formed a heart without even realizing it.

Erin being domestic.

Jen and Stella ready to go see Cirque Du Soleil

The show was awesome...Stella slept through the 1st half and then I took her out to feed her during the 2nd half.  The workers were really nice and pulled a chair up in front of one of the televisions so I could watch the rest of the show while I fed Stella.  The performers were incredibly strong  and very impressive.

Denver skyline.

Saturday, July 27th:

Stella was an awesome sleeper every night!  She slept straight through the night.

We went for another hike and saw some great views of Boulder.

Feeding Stella way up high...hard to see, but the city is down below.

Where we hiked the day prior.

Back to Pearl Street for lunch and more shopping.

 Sunday, July 28th:

We left Boulder after breakfast to get to the airport.  It is a huge airport and was incredibly busy!

Stella slept through the long security line.  I fed her at the gate, she passed out as soon as the plane took off and slept until about 20 minutes before landing.  We didn't get a free seat this time, so I was thankful she slept!

The boys were excited to see us and get their gifts.

Even though Stella was a great travel companion I can't wait until next time when I can go solo!  Thanks for a great time Cortland girls!!!!  xoxo
