Toothless Wonder

Cam was over today and I could not keep him away from sitting on the hearth of the fireplace.  He would bring a few toys up there and play with them.  Then when he wanted to get down he would whine or cry...then he would get something else to play with and go back up there again.  Look how grown up he looks in this picture!

We went to tot time at Laurel Hills again...it tires everyone out and I get a nice little kid free time after lunch!

Even with all of the "kid stuff" in the gym Cam spent a great deal of time wandering around to check other things out...like this little corner...what's up there?

Ella, Caleb, Austin, and Anna...Cam was probably in the corner for this shot.

For some odd reason this gym DOES NOT have AC...it was so hot in there that one mom turned on these huge "kid friendly" fans.

Austin's face was not as close to this fan as it appears, however, you had to get close to the fan to even get a little relief from the heat.  Nothing like hot air blowing in your face.

Hunter's school had a back to school picnic planned for tonight...it started to storm right before school let out so they cancelled...which meant we had a rainy evening indoors...which led to the boys wrestling on the bed...which then led to Hunter losing his 4th tooth.

It was kind of funny...the boys were getting a little to rough, Hunter's mouth hit into Austin's head, Austin started crying and Hunter had this strange look on his face.  Then he said something like, "well, Austin knocked another tooth out."  He was very excited and said, "I wonder what the tooth fairy is going to leave me?"  It's like he doesn't realize that the tooth fairy leaves money...and he also doesn't seem to realize that we have to steal money from his piggy bank in order for the tooth fairy to leave something.  (we'll pay him back)  I'm going to the bank tomorrow to get some gold coins or something...he has another front tooth ready to come out.  Picture day is next Friday.  I knew he would be a toothless wonder for it!

Showing off his muscles.

Austin is not impressed.

More Tot Time and Batting Practice

This morning we went to Tot time at the gym at Lake Lynn.  The kids love it there, it's free, and they run...a lot.  Which means...they nap really well!

On the way Austin found Hunter's new batting gloves.  Check out his hair.

Hunter has not had practice or a game in awhile due to Labor Day weekend.  His coach reserved a batting cage so they could practice hitting before Friday night's game.  He did pretty well.  It must have been the new gloves.  The entire time he was hitting he was talking up a storm to his coach.  I overheard him say, "So, I'm in first grade now at Underwood.  Today was my 7th day of first grade."  He went on to tell him about all of the other sports he has played and when.  It's funny to listen to him strike up a conversation with anyone willing to listen.  I was never like that as a child.

This morning we went to Laurel Hills for Tot Time in the gym.  We met up with a few friends and pretty much had the entire gym to ourselves!

Austin and Caleb.

There was some work being done outside of the gym.  The kids enjoyed watch the "big truck" dig up the dirt.  (Caleb, Austin, Maggie, and Ella)

This evening after I had read to Hunter I was rocking Austin.  I told Hunter he could read for a little longer and I would come back to tuck him in after I was done with Austin.  I could hear him talking to himself and when I peaked into his room this is what I found.

Happy Labor Day!

After my run this morning Austin wanted to go for a bike ride on his spiderman bike.  He really liked going up hills and flying down.  He has finally mastered the pedaling as well.

Playing with Jessica's old dollhouse.

"Austina" trying to eat the fake grapes.

Austin was playing on the top bunk of the bunk beds, but he was moving too fast for me to get a picture.

Chris and Papa took Hunter out to shoot Papa's pellet gun.  He really wants a bb gun because a friend of his just got one for his birthday.  Hopefully shooting one is good enough, because he's not getting a gun any time soon!

The gun was a little to long/big, so it was hard for him to hold up.

The target.

These two are both obsessed with this hole in the yard.

Austin and his Papa!

Playing on the iPad with MooMa.

We had a fun time this weekend.  It was nice to have an extra day off.  Hunter was NOT happy to hear that he will be going to school tomorrow!

Time In Laurinburg

Hunter came home from his sleepover around 11 this morning.  The boys had a lot of fun bowling and sleeping in a tent.

Headed to Laurinburg with plenty of "things" to do on the way.

Hunter and MooMa making dessert.

Austin threw several tantrums after not taking a nap, but thankfully went to bed easily this evening.

The boys always have fun playing here...Hunter is happy that he has a day off tomorrow.

Happy birthday to my mom!

House Work and Errands on Saturday

Early this morning I went for a 5 mile trail run at Umstead...thankfully it was early, because it got hot pretty quickly.

When I got home Chris wanted to take care of some tree limbs.  So Austin decided to do a little rollerskating.

While Hunter was getting his haircut, I was busy making sure Austin wasn't tearing the place apart.

He insisted on pushing the cart and didn't want any help.  Makes for some slow shopping!

This is what Hunter picked out to wear to his friend's birthday party.

Since Hunter is at an overnight birthday party, we had to resort to some cheap entertainment for Austin.

Band-aid on his cheek was for a "fake" booboo as Austin put it.

I guess his hair is getting a little long.

Waiting for every last drop of water to get out of the bathtub.
