Jessica and Tanner's Wedding Celebration at Pawleys Island, SC

Thursday, June 6th:

We left Raleigh around 11am for a four hour drive to Pawleys Island, SC.  Six hours later we finally arrived.  The trip wasn't bad, but our stops were an hour each.  At one stop I stepped out of the car and got bit by a fire ant.

We made it to Pawleys Plantation before dinner time.  We stayed in a large Villa and the kids had a blast running around in all the rooms and playing hide and go seek.

Stella is showing off her chunky thighs.

I bribed Austin with a cookie to kiss her...

He immediately wiped his mouth.

MooMa came over to see her grandbabies.

Austin and Hunter shared a room, but Austin wouldn't sleep in there.  Instead I found him passed out on this little couch in a sitting room off the master we were sleeping in.  I put pillows and blankets on the floor and sure enough...he ended up spending most of the night sleeping on the floor.

Friday, June 7th:

Tropical Storm Andrea came through while we were sleeping on Thursday night.  So, even though they predicted Friday's weather to be bad, it turned out pretty nice.  It was a little cloudy Friday morning, but cleared up after lunch time.

Hunter cuddling with his baby sister.

Jill and Steve flew into Myrtle Beach at 7am, rented a car, and were in Pawleys around 8am.  Hunter was outside waiting for them.

Jill meeting Stella.

Our villa was on the 12th hole.  Steve and Hunter went to check it out.  They could see the golfers putting in on the 11th hole and then starting on the 12th hole.

We all headed out to the beach.  It was pretty windy.  Stella and I hung out in the car for most of the time so she could have lunch.  But, the boys had a blast playing in the ocean.

Steve got to experience life as a short person.

We went to the rehearsal...Austin refused to participate, go figure.  Right afterwards we went to a local restaurant for rehearsal dinner.  Stella was sleeping in this silly position...must be nice!

And, dresses are already beginning to annoy me.  I hate how they creep up and her belly hangs out.

Austin spent quite some time trying to tie his shoe.  He eventually gave up and took his shoes off.

Austin Jessica gave the boys some fun gifts for being the ring bearers.

Jessica getting to hold Stella for the first time.

Sleeping angel...

Then I moved her to her crib where she stayed asleep and turned into sleeping Jesus.  She likes to be swaddled still, but always with her arms out.  I have not even used a swaddle wrap with her and probably won't.

Saturday, June 8th:

Wedding day...but, first...some pool time since it was so hot!

Getting ready...he acted like he was going to participate, but didn't.

However, Hunter did a great job!

I officially hate every picture taken of me since having Stella, but everyone else looks nice and it's the only family picture we had taken together since Austin REFUSED to be in the pictures after the wedding and would not let me be in them either.  Guess that wasn't so bad after all.

I didn't take any pictures during the ceremony, so I had to steal a few from people on facebook who did...

Chris and Jessica walking down the aisle.

It was beautiful, but so hot.  Hunter (and everyone in those black tuxes) did great.  The sun was beating down on us and in their faces.

Austin had a nice "little" tantrum after the ceremony...guessing the heat got to him as well, as he has not had a tantrum in quite some time.  After he finally stopped screaming he just stood in the corner in the banquet area....where he proceeded to purposely wet his pants.

Becky and Stella.

I only had gray shorts to change him into...but, that seemed to help.  He was happy as a clam after that.

She was kind enough to sleep throughout most of the reception.

A little break dancing...

From the boy who would NOT eat sweets for the first two years of his life...

Taking a little break from dancing to play a game on the phone.

Still sleeping...look at that little head.

Congratulations Jessica and Tanner!

Sunday, June 9th:

We packed up and said our good-byes to everyone...

Stella took a pacifier for a brief moment...she was freaking out in the car, but eventually fell asleep.

We stopped by Jessica and Tanner's new house on the way home, but I didn't take any pictures.  It was really nice and the boys had fun running and screaming through it.

Our drive home went a lot faster then the way there.  It took me ALL week to get unpacked and the laundry done.
