Holcomb 365: One Month and Growing!

Saturday, June 1st:

Not sure how Stella became a month old, but she did...

Her unofficial weight with our home scale shows her right around 10lbs.

Some little bits of info about her:

still sleeps quite a bit during the day, with some time awake and alert during the day
sleeping longer stretches at night with or without a swaddle...no issues with her sleeping on her back, like we had with Austin
starting to smile...so sweet!
starting to track objects with her eyes and attempts to bat at things
really only cries when she's hungry or tired (sometimes while having her picture taken as you'll see in some pictures below
Shes in size 1 diapers now and still some newborn clothes, just starting to wear 0-3 months
nurses every 2 hours during the day and 3-4 at night

What she enjoys:

sleeping on her tummy while laying on mommy or daddy
looking at Hunter
being wrapped up in the moby wrap
listening to daddy play his guitar
taking naps in her swing or bouncer
watching her mobile in the crib

What she could live without:

tummy time

She certainly doesn't look very comfortable, but this was the best shot I could get of the three of them.

Sunday, June 2nd:

Stella and her sweet big brother, Hunter...

I had to go shopping to find something to wear for Jessica's wedding this weekend. Stella came with me and we were gone all afternoon. She was awake for most of the shopping trip. Then she passed out as we were leaving. She was worn out! (and so was I...shopping for clothes when nothing fits right is exhausting)

Later, I propped her up on the bed and she was entertaining all if us with her funny faces. I would pull her arms up and say, "So big!" and she would open her mouth. Austin thought that was pretty funny and wanted to do it to her as well.

And...after waiting for A LONG TIME to see this guy...Caleb Daniel Papile was born at 11:05 pm weighing in at 9lbs 12oz! And, he was 22 1/2 inches! He's the same size as Stella. Three cheers for Emily for carrying this little big guy around for almost 41 weeks!

Monday, June 3rd:

Tuesday, June 4th:

Sometimes Stella and I fall asleep after she nurses. This morning I woke up to her sliding off my chest.

I put her down on her stomach for a minute and she stayed fast asleep.

Then I turned her over onto her back and she woke right up.

The walk took forever because we had to stop and rest our legs...

Checking out her mobile. She has not really been in her crib at all because she is still sleeping in her cradle next to me at night. But, I had to set her down for a few minutes to get a few things done.

Sweet sleeping baby...and a bit later while I was feeding her, she had the most disgusting diaper blow out in her one month history. It was EVERYWHERE!
