First Week Home

Chris was off all week and my mom, Nonna, was in town.  Hunter had school all week, so Chris would drop him off each morning and he would ride the bus home. Throughout the week my mom helped me get a lot done around the house.  She cleaned all the pollen off the windows.  Spent two days helping organize my kitchen cabinets (she organized, I sat and directed), cleaned out my pantry, did all the laundry, and all the dishes...and I'm sure some other stuff as well.

I just pretty much fed the baby.  Chris hung out with Austin a lot.

Monday, 5/6/13:

We went for a walk.  She slept the whole time in the Moby Wrap.

She got her first bath at home:

She didn't like it.

All clean!

Tuesday, May 7th:

Today we ventured out to her doctors appointment.  They wanted to check her bilirubin levels and her weight.  Her bilirubin was the same as the day we left the hospital and her weight was the same as well...7lbs 3 oz.  The doctor said that usually they need to stabilize both before the bilirubin goes down and weight goes up.  So, we were asked to come back on Thursday.

Stella in her duck pjs at 6 days old.

Austin in those same duck pjs...he's about a month old.

Back to Stella:

On her way to the doctors.

An edible arrangement was delivered while we were at the doctors, from Nonna and Ed.

Chris went out to a few stores and took Austin with him.  This was his first time riding in his daddy's truck and he was very excited.

A few naps throughout the day...well, throughout most of the day I should say.

Teeny tiny on the big chair.

Wednesday, May 8th:

One week old today!

Stella went to her first baseball game!

Thursday, May 9th:

We went back to the doctors and she was up 5oz in two days weighing in at 7lbs 8oz.  So, she was already two ounces over her birth weight in just a week.  At this age they would like to see babies gaining one ounce per day.  Her bilirubin lives were down two points.  So we were told to come back for her two week check up.

She loves to sleep on her tummy on people.  So sweet.

Austin sneaking in on the picture.

While Nonna ran some errands and Chris was at the store, I decided to take Austin and Stella for a walk.  Austin has been missing his friend, Ella, so we asked her to join us.

Enjoying some Popsicles on this warm day.

I asked Austin to kiss her and he did...

Friday, May 10th...

We let Hunter miss school today.  Nonna took him strawberry picking and then that afternoon we went to get some professional pictures done.  I cannot wait to get them back.  The photo shoot took FIVE hours!

The photographer that did Austin's newborn pictures and our family pictures a few years ago does not do newborn photos anymore.  So, I went on a search for a person who did and found Dana Hunt.

Here is her website:  http://danaashlyn.com/

Here is the sneak peak she sent me the other day!

She looks like a little angel on a fluffy cloud.

Sat. May 11th

I found the boys hiding behind the entertainment stand and curtain playing Hunter's DS.

It was a pretty warm day.  Hunter had a baseball game.

It was Nonna's last day in Raleigh:
