And one, just a few minutes ago. When I went to help him into his bed he woke up and started crying saying he heard a noise and thought there was a fox in his room.
Some backtracking from yesterday...May 8, 2012
We started off the day with some drawing...actually, I started off my day getting up at 6am to go vote. The reason I wanted to vote was to help make sure Amendment One did not pass. Unfortunately, it did. :( I thought there were more people in this NC who were FOR equality and not against it...I was wrong.
Chris had this posted on facebook today...comparing the counties in NC who voted against amendment one and the counties with the most college degrees. The corrolation is interesting.

Sweet brothers...
Jessica's cute little dog...she is super playful and was all over the place. The boys were chasing her all over, I was afraid she was going to get hurt.
One of Debby's signs in Laurinburg.
We made a quick trip to Laurinburg to go support Debby at her campaign party at the Thomas Walton Manor Bed and Breakfast in town. The party was for her and Whit Gibson who was running for a position as well...County Commissioner I think, but I could be making that up. The Bed and Breakfast was so nice and had a beautiful garden and pool area. I spent the ENTIRE time chasing Austin around. Hunter spent the entire time being a social butterfly (can I call a boy that?)...
The boys listening to Papa play with his band.
Austin loved it...
PaPa's band:
The beautiful anniversary cake that the caterer made for Crowell and Debby. It was their 36th wedding anniversary!
Hunter being cool hanging with his Aunt Jessica.
Austin kept going up and getting close to the band. At one point he had a plastic fork in his hand that he kept trying to give to PaPa. I guess he thought he should use that to pick his banjo with?
The lighting was bad in this picture, but the pool was so pretty.
Hunter opening the gate for guests arriving.
Chris' grandparents on the left.
Chris with his grandparents.
Crowell and Debby cutting into their cake!
And the winners...both Debby and Mr. Gibson won...by A LOT! (remember when you're looking at the numbers that Scotland County is a small area)
All of her supporters mobbing her with hugs!
One of her biggest supporters!
Austin loves his MooMa...he couldn't take his eyes off her.
And, I posted these last night, but I am posting them again because they are funny. The funniest part about them...Hunter was denying this morning that he fell asleep in the car. "Mom, I was just pretending...and my eyes were tired...I had to close them."
Chris and I were surprised he fell asleep watching a movie...that was a first for him!
On our drive home last night Chris and I were talking about all of the great people who came out to show their support...there is something about a small town...knowing everyone...and having people there to show they care. It was really nice to see the love and support Debby and Crowell have in Laurinburg.
