Monday, 2/4:
Austin dug out the box of costume accessories and had many many different combinations going on.
Then I went to bed and found this on my pillow...I guess Winnie wanted to play.
Tuesday, 2/5:
This is what I found when I woke up...spiderman on the chair,
toy car on the keyboard,
and an ear on the floor.
Spiderman came over to play on the keyboard for a bit.
I worked on capes for Hunter's guests for his Captain Underpants birthday party. I started with 8 yards of felt and was able to cut out 24 capes with about half a yard of material left.
I used one of Hunter's capes as a "pattern."
24 capes cut out.
I used blue sheets of felt and cut out 24 trapezoids.
Then I used sheets of white felt to cut out the first initial of each child coming to the party.
I used fabric glue to get the white letters to stick to the trapezoids. It took a few hours for it to dry. At first it didn't seem like the glue was going to stick, but once I left it alone it did.
We still had lots of play time too...Cam was using this ear as a phone. "Hello, can you hear me?"
Hunter had a game, but I stayed home while Chris took the boys so I could glue the blue trapezoids to the capes. I had capes drying all over the house when the boys got home.
Wednesday, 2/5:
We had some fun play time at the gym at Lake Lynn. Then we headed out to the playground and took a walk down to see the ducks.
Cam was NOT a fan of the freaky ducks or their noise.
Thursday, 2/7:
Austin was so funny this morning. Here was our conversation about breakfast.
A: You have turkey?
M: No, I don't have any turkey.
A: You have any dog dogs?
M: No, Austin...you're not having hot dogs for breakfast.
A: Oh, you have any meat?
M: No, we need to go to the store.
A: You have cucumbers?
M: No, we really need to go to the store.
A: Ok, I'll have water.
haha
His hair was getting a little long in a few areas and since I have no clue how to cut hair I took him for his first "real" hair cut today. He was so cute (and excited). There was a boy around his age in the chair next to him screaming his head off so I was afraid Austin may get scared, but he did really well.
How grown up does this almost three year old look?
We ran a few errands and the kids were great. Then we went to start the car and it would not start...boo...I found a guy to help me figure out my jumper cables and we got it started. When I told him thanks he said, "It's a marines duty to help a lady." I didn't know he was a marine.
We drove over to Auto Zone and they tested my battery which was bad. So they took out the old one and gave me a new one. Well, I bought the new one, but regardless...they were fast.
Austin was busy taking things off the shelves.
A lot of the capes with the blue trapezoids glued on.
My last step was to iron on velcro that fuses with heat.
I was trying to take a picture of Hunter with his new cape on and Austin had to do it too. Then he took a few pictures of me taking pictures of him.
Hunter is ready for his Captain Underpants birthday party on Saturday!
