And the Naughty Prize Goes To....

...as usual...Austin!

Our day started off pretty well.  We worked on O is for ocean today and talked about all the different sea creatures.  They painted their big fish with finger prints to look like scales.

The mall has a few new indoor play structures, so we went to check them out today since it rained...again!  But, at first all they wanted to do was sit on these silly things.  I had one quarter and the machines are 50 cents a piece.

For the past month or so Austin has been skipping his nap, which has been hard for both of us to give up.  He wants to stay up, but by 5ish he is a complete grouch and really still needs a nap.  So each afternoon I put him in his room and tell him he has to either lay down or play quietly.  He usually says something like, "No night-night, play."  Which is what he said today.  Typically he'll "play" for about 15-30 minutes and then yell to me that he's done.  But, today he was up their playing for about an hour.  I could hear him talking to himself, but he never called to me.  Eventually it got quiet so I tip-toed upstairs and could hear him snoring.  I peaked my head into the room to find this:

He had pulled all of his pull-ups and wipes out...

He also squeezed all of his diaper rash cream out...all over himself, the wall, etc...

And, there is my sweet little boy...passed out naked from the waste down on the changing table.  (Hunter likes his yellow dot butt)  As I was picking everything up and trying to figure out how I could move him to his bed without waking him I found his pull-up he had taken off...he had a dirty diaper and decided to clean up after himself...I'm guessing that is why all the wipes were out?

I was actually able to get him to his bed without waking, but I had to put a diaper on him because I knew he would have an accident without one and that would just be one more thing for me to clean up.  That is what woke him.  He was so grouchy and it took him a good 30 minutes to "wake up."  I learned a few things today...remove all wipes and pull-ups from the top of his dresser...and, if he ever falls asleep like this again I'm going to sit there in his room with the iPad until he wakes up.

Later he tried to ride his little motorcycle, but realized the batteries were dead.  He said, "I fix it."  He went and go the little screwdriver and tried to open it to put in new batteries.  Unfortunately, this battery needs to be charged, not changed.
