Head Lice = Good Times!

So, the kids I watch have been dealing with head lice this week.  Each day I would check my head along with Austin and Hunter's...all clear.  Until this morning.  I had my normal panic feeling of something in my hair occurrence so I went to check my hair.  And, sure enough...there were a few lice eggs...or nits for the technical folks reading.

First off...for those of you who know of my fear of ticks (which is HUGE)...well times that by 100 and that's how I feel about head lice roaming around on my head or anyone head, for that matter.

Long story short, because I am exhausted...after a lot of research and talking to my doctors about natural remedies, I had to slather my head in Cedaphil lotion this morning and cover it with a shower cap.  Tomorrow I will rinse it out and shampoo with Dawn dish soap and then go through my head to find any eggs.  The lotion will smother anything living...the eggs have to be removed for obvious reasons.

Ignore my funny looking face and take note in the amount of lotion.  I'm pretty sure anything would smother in this stuff.

And, the one Austin had to wear...he wanted to wear it.  His head is clear.

Along with all of the above...I have spent ALL day cleaning.  I had to use the sanitize cycle on the washer to wash tons of items, vacuum, wipe things down, stick unwashable things into bags for two weeks, stick my jacket into the freezer (in a bag) for a day, spray down my mattress with special spray to keep lice off of it, the list goes on and on.
