Before I post about today, I need to add a picture from yesterday that Kora took. The look on Austin's face pretty much sums up how great Colonial Williamsburg was in the super duper heat.
Today was ANOTHER hot day in Williamsburg. We headed out to Water Country USA to stay cool. We arrived around 10:30ish...we got to one of the kid areas to play and found out they shut it down because someone decided to use it as a toilet. So we ventured over to another kid area and within a matter of 15 minutes Austin tripped and busted his chin open. I was really nervous that he was going to need stitches again. He was checked out by a medic person there and he said they could "glue" it back together...so off to the Medical Center at the park. Never a dull moment...
And, since Austin LOVES wearing band-aids, he was happy as a clam to have this huge thing on his chin. We had to go back a few times to reapply it, because it kept falling off in the water.
No water on my chin, please.
Crazy water baby.
Hubba Hubba Highway
Water Country has a ton of rides for kids...three kid sections...and for most of the rides, as long as they wear life jackets, they can go with an adult. Chris and I took Hunter and Austin on a ride called The Meltdown...it was a three person raft, so I took the boys and Chris went on his own. The ride was up really high...both boys loved it.
We all went on a family raft called Big Daddy Falls...it was the longest line we stood in this entire trip...20-25 minutes, not to bad...here are Austin and Landon helping each other walk along.
Right before we went down the slide.
I loved Austin's expression...he did great. He got soaked and loved it.
Landon loved it too, so Kora and I took the little boys on it again, while Chris, Kevin, and Hunter went to the wave pool.
We ended our night at another kid section...the kids loved this slide. We left around 7pm....and went to Panera for dinner.
When we got home the boys were wrestling around and out popped Hunter's front tooth.
Some fun on the ipad before bed.
Headed back to Raleigh tomorrow to go enjoy some more 100 degree heat. I blame Kevin and Kora.
