Trains vs. Pirates

Today was hot and gross.  I didn't realize it until we went to Lake Lynn to play on the playground for a bit.  I signed Hunter up for a fall baseball league instead of touch football.  The kids saw the playground and so off we went...it didn't take long for all of us to realize it was just too hot.

We had to take Winnie to the vet to get her vaccines, so it was a good excuse to leave.  The vet said she had lost a pound since she was there three weeks ago.  I guess all the swimming has paid off for her.

On the way back from the vet, around noon, Austin decided he wanted to scream.  And, he did...all the way home until we were about 1/2 a mile away. Then he passed out.  Perhaps he fell asleep so early because he got me up at 5:30 this morning.

We spent the afternoon swimming and this evening I decided to change the train table to a pirate table.  I just ordered some clips for the train table to keep the pieces from coming apart...or to keep Austin from taking the pieces apart.

Until then, we decided to give the Pirate Island a try.  It had been up in the attic for awhile, so they were excited to see it and had a good time playing with it.
