We spent the rest of the day at Hillridge Farms in Youngsville. It's a pretty fun place. We go here each year. You pay one price ($10) to get in and have access to everything but the train and jumping pillow. You have to pay extra for those. But the entrance fee includes other bounce houses, a big corn pit, hay pit/areas, a tractor ride, a pumpkin, etc...The boys love it here. They are doing a Christmas lights exhibit this year...I think we'll check it out.
They started off in the maze...we soon realized it was pretty wet/muddy and had lots of puddles. Austin tried to jump over a puddle like Hunter and landed in it. He didn't like that his shoes were wet. So...
Hunter carried him the rest of the way through...
It was a long maze! When they were done Hunter said, "I love you, Austin." Austin responded with, "I love you, bro bro." So sweet!
We paid a little extra this year to let them jump on the bounce pillow. They loved it!
There are always a few goats just hanging out on their play structure.
Checking out the ponies (oh, you can pay extra to ride one too, but my kids have never been interested in riding them)
For those of you that remember...2 years ago when Hunter was 4 and Austin was few months we were here. Hunter was going on the slide over and over and didn't mention to me that he had to use the bathroom. After a turn down the slide (while on my lap) we got the very bottom and he just stood up and peed all over. I had to quickly wipe it up with wipes before the next person came down. Then I had to drive to a Dollar General (closest store to the farm) to buy him a new outfit. Fun times!
The corn pit...
Feeding the animals.
This goat had some freakishly long antlers or horns...whatever they're called.
Back to the corn pit.
Hay ride!
Field of pumpkins...I would like this place even more if you could actually "pick" your pumpkins.
Austin would pick up a pumpkin and then decide he wanted another one...so he would tossing pumpkins left and right before he found one.
And, to prove I was there...Take 1:
Take 2:
Take 3:
As you can imagine...we were all pretty tired once we got home.
