Sick Day

I guess you can call it a sick day.  Last night, Hunter was complaining that his throat hurt.  He had been complaining for a few nights now, so I checked his throat and saw white spots.

This morning I took him to walk in hours at our pediatrician's office.  They confirmed that he had strep.  Other then his throat bothering him, he was fine.  No fever, no congestion, etc...

So...he was happy as a clam to stay home.  And, since he was feeling fine...we were busy all day.

We took Cam for a walk in the wagon...he was so scared at first, but then got comfortable and was happy.

We practiced some tennis...(Cam's head was not as close to the racket as it looks in this picture)

Hunter told me he was a geologist and was digging for rocks for quite some time.  He started a unit in science called Pebbles, Sand, and Silt.  I remember teaching that unit and remember all the students collecting rocks in their pockets at recess.  I'll have to check his pockets before I throw his clothes in the washer!

It took him about an hour to clean all the rocks.

Nonna sent a package...Austin thought Nonna was inside of the box.

Just what Hunter had been wanting!

You can't see Austin's face, but he was screaming his head off trying to reach the flower pot.  We put one in Hunter's bedroom on his windowsill and one in our kitchen window.  The flowers move with light.

Hunter will be back to school tomorrow since he does not have a fever and will be on his antibiotic for 24 hours.  Here's to hoping we all don't get it!
