Why is the /f/ Sound So Hard to Say?

Hunter had trouble with the /f/ sound for quite some time when he was little. Fish was bish, food was bood, etc...

Well, Ella is having the same problem, but instead of using the /b/ sound, she uses /p/.

With that said...instead of saying fingers she says...PENIS.

One day I overheard her say, "Andrew, stop pulling my penis."  It took me awhile to figure out why in the world she said that.  Then I saw him pulling on her fingers.

Today as I was buckling her into her car seat she said..., "Look at my penis, Tricia."  Of course...I was like, what in the world?  Looked up and she had her fingers shoved in my face.  She was trying to show me her purple painted finger nails.

So I said, "say fingers Ella."  She said, "penis."  :)

This morning we found that Jack was hiding in the cupboard in a glass.  Hunter wanted his class to see so I sent a picture in for him to share.

This evening Hunter and Chris worked on a science kit he received from Landon, Kevin, and Kora.  They made glow in the dark green slime.  Hunter loved all the science objects and used them to mix things together afterwards.  Chris received a special handmade mitten (probably made by Kevin)...you'll have to ask him to see it though.  :)
