Playground and Eggs

Today we were planning a morning out/picnic lunch at Blue Jay Point only to find out that the playground section was under construction until the end of April.  Thankfully we found out before we drove out there.  So, instead we went to a fun playground at Laurel Hills...which has been nicknamed the castle playground.

As soon as I drove up I realized how packed it was going to be as there were 3 large Y activity buses.  It was pretty busy, but the kids still had a lot of fun.  Hunter brought his walkie talkies...and had a good time with Andrew.  There was another little boy there who had a walkie talkie as well...the three boys were able to sync them together and all three played.

Little pond by the playground.

There was a dead bee on the ground that Austin kept smashing with his foot.

After dinner we decorated Hunter's tree with plastic Easter eggs.  Austin played with a bucket of eggs while Hunter put some on the tree.

Every time he would pick one up he would knock it on the ground to try to get it open...almost like he was trying to crack an egg.

He, of course, had to pull a few off the tree to add to his bucket.

And then he dumped them down the driveway and watched them roll.
