Potty training time...

Today we tried to beat the heat and headed out to a shaded playground early...the heat beat us.  It was so hot out, even in the shade.  We stayed for about an hour and headed home and jumped in the pool.

This afternoon, while Ella and Austin took a nap, one of Hunter's classmates from kindergarten came over to swim.  The boys had a lot of fun in the pool.


Over the past few days Austin has been taking his diaper off right after he has  gone to the bathroom in it.  Yesterday he took it off during nap time and of course, wet the bed.  While I was busy taking his sheets off and putting new ones on I heard, "Oh, no..big poop."  He had pooped on the floor...right NEAR the bathroom.


Today he took his diaper off a few times...so I knew he was getting the idea of having to use the bathroom.  Tonight, right around dinner, he said he had to go pee pee on the potty.  And he actually went!  We were so excited!


With Hunter we would give him a M&M if he went potty...so while at BJs tonight we picked up a huge back of M&Ms.  As we were checking out he tried 
to pull his pants down and take his diaper off.  Chris took him to the bathroom, but he was a little too late.  Oh well.  


I really wanted to wait on potty training until AFTER our trip to Williamsburg, but, I guess now is the time.  This is going to be interesting with Austin.  Never a dull moment around here!
